Billing & Coding Webinar Series*

Session 1 – Evaluation & Management Documentation Guidelines

This session provided an overview of the always vital area around selecting the proper level of service when performing evaluations of new and established patients in an FQHC. We dispelled incorrect assumptions that "my EHR codes for me" and that “the level of service doesn't matter since we get a flat rate”. We focused on how clinical providers, coders, billers, EHR staff, and facility leadership each play a key role in making sure they get it right 100% of the time.

Session 2 – FQHC Billing

This session reviewed the basic requirements for FQHC billing. This included the services, providers, and locations from which FQHC claims may be billed. We reviewed the different G-codes and how they are correctly reported. We also reviewed how to report various services such as behavioral health, clinical visits, non-FQHC services, telemedicine, and preventive services.

Session 3 – Chronic Care Management & Advanced Care Planning

Chronic Care Management and Advanced Care Planning services are new benefits for FQHC/CHCs effective 1.1.2016. This session reviewed the basic requirements for CCM billing and how they apply to FQHCs. We also reviewed Advanced Care Planning and how those services must be provided and reported on claims.
